The 2022 Self Ink It Awards is open to self-published Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color (BIPOC) authors.  Authors must live in the United States and be published before the submission deadline of February 28, 2022.

How to enter the Self Ink It awards

ONLINE SUBMISSION PROCESS

The quick and most efficient way to enter the 2022 Self Ink It Awards is by completing the online submission form and paying online with a credit card through PayPal.

There are three simple steps to complete your online entry:

1. Fill out and submit the Online Entry Form

2. Pay the submission fee(s) through PayPal

Credit cards are accepted via the PayPal checkout system. Please note that if you pay by credit card, the charge on your credit card statement will show up as SABWIG Enterprise

3. Send your books

Send a copy of the "Confirmation of Payment" email, which will include your entry's title and author(s), together with one copy of your book by no later than February 28, 2022, to:

Electronic Uploads

 

When uploading your book, it must be one file that includes the cover, uploaded in PDF format only - no other electronic formats are being accepted at this. Please make sure that your submission is not password protected.  Only upload one file per book entry - subsequent uploads will replace previous uploads.

Book Series category

To enter the book series category, you must have published a minimum of 3 books in the series. At least one book in the series must have been published within the current awards year(s). A complete set of the series will need to be sent in accordance with our entry guidelines.

When uploading your electronic version for the book series category follows the same procedure as above for uploading your book electronically and physical copy by mail.

Payment

The 2022 submission fee is $15 per book for two categories. If only entering the book cover the fee is $10 per submission.  

The quickest and most efficient way to pay the submission fee is directly online using a credit card via PayPal.  After completing the submission form to the awards program, you will be prompted to pay for your entries individually or all at once.
